Does it feel like little things tend to build up to the point of being overwhelmed? Do your thoughts take over and make you believe things that are probably not true?

Maybe you put other people’s needs ahead of your own, or perhaps you just don’t feel good enough. You may be overly critical of yourself or others, or simply struggling with overwhelming negative self talk. Perhaps you’re feeling unmotivated and unfocused, your mind running a million miles a minute.

You’re beginning to notice the impact of what you are experiencing in every facet of your life:

  • Panic attacks or meltdowns at work and/or at home

  • Feeling stuck or weighed down by everything in your life

  • Waiting for the next thing to happen or the other shoe to drop

  • Negative thoughts preventing you from enjoying life

  • Inability to sleep at night, feeling restless

  • Feeling overwhelmed in social situations leading to isolation or friendships ending

Therapy for Anxiety can help.

It may feel impossible now, but you can develop the tools needed to help you navigate your emotions and thoughts. You can be more confident and live a better day to day life. And I can help you get there.

Therapy for Anxiety helps you:

  • Explore where your thoughts and beliefs come from.

  • Challenge your negative thoughts in order to change your behavior.

  • Use coping skills to stop a panic or anxiety attack before it happens.

  • Be in the present moment in order to stay focused and motivated.

  • Communicate and prioritize your needs so you can stop people pleasing and feel more secure in who you are.

I’ll support you through this process, tailoring each step to your unique needs and circumstances. My approach to therapy for anxiety comes from a place of exploration and action: helping you to understand why you think the way you do, how it impacts your mood, and what you can do to change it.

You don’t have to live life believing that you are not good enough or anticipating the next challenging event.

I can help you learn to manage difficult emotions and thoughts so you can live the life you deserve, unburdened by distress and emotional hardship.

  • My style of therapy focuses on the origins of behavior and thoughts. We will collaborate on exploring what past experiences you have had that have shaped the way you think and react. I will guide you through changing the way you see these events by rewriting the story you tell yourself. We will use a variety of methods such as thought challenging, EMDR reprocessing, talking to and supporting your wounded parts, as well as coping skills, education, and role plays.

These methods help give you insight into why you react the way that you do, which allows you to change your behaviors and decrease the distress caused by triggers. You will learn applicable skills to handle challenges as they come up in your daily life. My approach is action based in that you will be encouraged to practice the skills learned in session making these coping skills second nature, so you can build your toolbox and have success when facing problems in the present and future.
